Role Overview
We are looking to extend our team with AI Lead who operates at the intersection of business development, client advisory, and solution delivery. This is a client-facing role for a person who can step in after an initial successful business development meeting and lead the next level of discussion: bringing clarity, credibility, and practical insight into how AI solutions work, how they can be applied, and how they can create measurable value for the client. This role also involves traveling to US, DE, UK and further global destinations.
The ideal candidate combines strong AI and technology understanding with analytical thinking, active listening, and consulting skills. This person must be able to understand the client’s context and bring strong technical judgment on which AI approaches (incl. referential architectures) are realistic, future-ready, and suitable for the client’s environment, constraints, and ambitions.
Candidate will work and report directly to Partner (Marek Novotny) and will collaborate with various teams to shape existing PwC AI – Service Offering, Delivery and R&D. The role is not a formal line manager but can lead teams on a project basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Join follow-up client meetings after initial business development conversations to provide deeper expertise and solution credibility.
- Explain complex AI concepts, technical trade-offs, and emerging developments in a clear and credible way to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Understand client needs through active listening, structured questioning, and analytical problem-solving.
- Identify and structure client needs by uncovering underlying business challenges, and translate them into clear guidance on where and how AI can deliver value.
- Translate client problems into AI use cases, solution concepts, and potential delivery approaches.
- Bring a strong technical perspective on current and emerging AI developments and help identify future-ready solution directions.
- Provide technical leadership on AI architecture direction, model selection, and design considerations for scalable enterprise solutions.
- Support solution quality by ensuring that proposed technical approaches are robust, future-oriented, and aligned with enterprise constraints.
- Contribute to the evolution of PwC’s AI technical vision, assets, and points of view in line with recent market and technology developments. Work closely with AI transformation and business development teams to shape proposals, solution narratives, and client recommendations.
- Collaborate with delivery and technical teams to ensure proposed solutions are realistic, scalable, and aligned with client expectations.
- Help define the value of proposition, benefits, risks, and dependencies of AI initiatives.
- Support early-stage discovery, scoping, and solution design activities.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients by balancing innovation with practicality and delivery feasibility.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong understanding of AI, generative AI, automation, and data-driven solutions.
- Ability to discuss business value and technical feasibility, model strategy, and architecture trade-offs with executives, business stakeholders, architects, engineers, and risk functions.
- Experience in a role combining elements of pre-sales, consulting, solutioning, business development support, or delivery leadership.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially in client-facing settings.
- Strong analytical thinking and the ability to break down complex business problems.
- Strong listening skills and the ability to ask the right questions to uncover real client needs.
- Strong capability to evaluate which AI approaches are technically appropriate for a given client context, including trade-offs across scalability, latency, cost, security, and maintainability.
- Experience shaping solution approaches, proposals, or discovery engagements.
- Comfort working across commercial, consulting, and delivery teams.
- Proven ability to build trust quickly through clarity, technical credibility, and pragmatic judgment with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Professional proficiency in Czech and English (spoken and written), with ability to confidently lead client discussions and workshops in Czech.
Preferred Experience
- Experience leading or supporting AI-related client engagements from discovery through implementation.
- Familiarity with enterprise AI adoption challenges, including data readiness, governance, change management, and ROI evaluation.
- Experience in consulting, technology advisory, solution architecture, or AI product/solution leadership.
- Understanding of industry-specific use cases and how AI can drive operational or commercial outcomes.
- Experience with workshops, client discovery sessions, and executive-level discussions.
- Deep AI/ML expertise spanning model strategy, small LLMs, fine-tuning, distillation, enterprise orchestration, governance, and translating advances into pragmatic client solutions.
