Role:

Development and further enhancement of AI-based applications with a focus on maintaining existing systems. The systems consist of backend services (API-based AI services) as well as supporting microservices and infrastructure components. The focus is on the implementation, containerization, and CI/CD-driven delivery of robust, scalable services.

Tasks / Responsibilities

Development & Implementation

• Design, development, and maintenance of API-based AI services (REST)
• Implementation of backend logic in Python
• Development and integration of microservices
• Integration with downstream systems and data sources
• Ensuring code quality through testing and code reviews

Containerization & Deployment

• Containerization of services using Docker / Podman
• Creation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, optionally GitLab CI/CD)
• Deployment and operation on container platforms (OpenShift / Kubernetes)
• Automation of build, test, and release processes

Technical Analysis & Quality

• Troubleshooting and issue resolution across various system components
• Analysis of logs and runtime behavior
• Ensuring maintainability, scalability, and performance
• Compliance with code and quality standards (e.g. via SonarQube)

Coordination & Collaboration

• Coordination with frontend, infrastructure, and other development teams
• Contribution to architecture and design decisions
• Technical documentation (e.g. in Confluence)
• Effort estimation and task processing (e.g. in Jira)
