Responsibilities

• Derive test requirements from system-level specifications
• Plan and execute firmware and system validation tests
• Develop and automate test cases (Python, C)
• Set up and maintain lab and test environments (including RF communication)
• Perform electrical measurements (e.g. oscilloscopes)
• Analyze and debug issues at firmware and system level
• Ensure proper interaction between hardware and software (system-level testing)
• Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines (continuous testing in operation)
• Collaborate closely with hardware, software, and system teams
• Lead and coordinate 3–5 junior engineers
• Plan and distribute tasks within the team

Qualifications

• Strong experience in firmware validation / embedded testing
• Proficiency in Python and C
• Experience with system-level testing (hardware + software)
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes, RF equipment)
• Understanding of IoT, Sub-GHz communication, and/or RF protocols
• Experience with test automation and CI/CD
• Initial experience in leading or mentoring engineers
• Excellent English skills

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with Software Defined Radio (SDR)
• Knowledge of Zigbee or similar IoT standards
• Experience in software security reviews (incl. AI tools)
• TRACS knowledge
• JavaCard development
• Understanding of logical attacks on operating systems
