Project responsibilities:

• Build and scale a modern enterprise analytics platform based on Microsoft Fabric, delivering reusable and governed data products from ingestion through business consumption.
• Build and operate Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse layers (Bronze / Silver / Gold)
• Develop data pipelines, notebooks, and SQL as well as SQL/Spak transformations
• Migrate existing SQL Server logic to Microsoft Fabric
• Apply AI-assisted approaches to translate legacy SQL code into Python
• Design and implement data products and semantic models for reporting and analytics
• Implement security and governance mechanisms (e.g. RLS, group-based access)
• Work in an agile Jira environment with bi-weekly sprints
• Close collaboration with developers, architects, and project management, with a strong focus on communication

Qualifications:

Must have:

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams (requirements are not always fully specified and need to be clarified through communication)
• Excellent skills in SQL and Python / Spark for data engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric
• Experience in data modelling and BI semantic layers
• Proven experience working in agile projects using Jira

Nice to have:

• SAP or ERP integration experience
• Microsoft Purview or data governance knowledge
• CI/CD or DevOps experience in analytics environments
