Tasks

• Assess and optimize existing Oracle PL/SQL development, testing, and deployment processes
• Design and introduce modern CI/CD and DevOps practices for database applications
• Implement automated testing, quality assurance measures, and deployment workflows
• Facilitate workshops and collaborate with development teams and key stakeholders
• Deliver a proof of concept, documentation, and knowledge transfer to ensure long-term adoption

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as an Oracle PL/SQL Consultant, Database DevOps Engineer, or similar role
• Strong background in software delivery optimization, automation, and DevOps practices
• Proven experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines for database environments
• Ability to lead workshops, align stakeholders, and drive process improvements
• Experience working in regulated environments, ideally within the financial services sector

Must-Haves

• Advanced Oracle SQL and PL/SQL expertise
• Strong knowledge of Git and GitHub-based development workflows
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions)
• Experience with automated database deployments and test automation
• Proficiency with code quality and database versioning tools (e.g., SonarQube, Liquibase, Flyway)
