Our client is operating a cloud-native engineering platform that enables standardized infrastructure and application automation through GitOps-based workflows, reusable cloud components, and self-service capabilities.

The platform is already live and continuously evolving. The role focuses on hands-on platform engineering, automation development, and operating a secure, scalable, and compliant platform built on Kubernetes, Crossplane, ArgoCD, and multi-cloud technologies.

Tasks:

  • Build, maintain and improve platform components and reusable automation capabilities
  • Design and implement Crossplane-based automation and GitOps delivery patterns
  • Translate requirements into technical designs, implementation tasks and documentation
  • Collaborate with architects, Product Owners, security stakeholders and product teams
  • Ensure compliance with security, operational, architecture and quality standards
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, onboarding material and implementation guidelines
  • Support troubleshooting, incident analysis and continuous platform improvement
  • Enable product teams to onboard and use the platform effectively
  • Provide guidance on GitOps, Crossplane, Kubernetes, ArgoCD and Atlantis-specific patterns

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience in platform engineering, cloud engineering, DevOps or site reliability engineering
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native platform technologies
  • Practical experience with Crossplane, including compositions, claims, providers or comparable abstraction patterns
  • Experience with GitOps concepts and tools, especially ArgoCD and Git-based delivery workflows
  • Good knowledge of at least one major cloud provider and its Kubernetes platform: Azure / AKS, AWS / EKS, GCP / GKE
  • Programming or scripting experience, preferably with Go and/or Starlark
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitLab-based development workflows
  • Understanding of security-by-design, least privilege, compliance requirements and secure software delivery
  • Ability to write clear technical documentation in Markdown or similar formats
  • Experience working in agile product or platform teams
  • Strong communication skills in English

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with multi-cloud platform environments
  • Knowledge of policy-as-code, governance-as-code or compliance automation
  • Experience with operational handbooks, incident processes and production platform operations
  • Experience contributing to open-source projects or reusable engineering frameworks
  • Understanding of FinOps principles and cost-aware cloud engineering
