Project Description

• Collaboration on the development and enhancement of modern BI solutions for a global organization across various domains (finance, retail, pricing, etc.).
• Design and implementation of advanced Power BI dashboards and reports with a strong focus on performance, security, and scalability.
• Data modeling on top of Snowflake and integration into BI solutions.
• Collaboration with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and transform data into actionable insights.
• Involvement in the ETL/ELT process (including pipeline optimization, governance, and best practices).
• Support in the areas of data governance, access rights, and solution documentation.
• Mentoring junior team members and sharing best practices.
• Working in an agile environment (Scrum, sprints, backlog grooming, sprint reviews).
• Cooperation is fully remote across the EU.

Project Requirements

• Advanced experience with:
  • Power BI (at least 5–7 years), including DAX, Power Query (M language), measures, advanced modeling, and row-level security.
  • SQL (at least 5 years), creating and optimizing queries for large datasets.
  • Designing and managing data warehouses and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience with:
  • Snowflake (3–5 years), design and optimization of data models (star/snowflake schema, fact/dimension tables).
  • Building complex dashboards and reports in Power BI Service (publishing, workspace management, governance).
  • Integrating BI tools with DWH and cloud platforms (ideally Azure).
  • Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project tools (Jira, Azure DevOps).
• Advanced knowledge of:
  • Data governance principles, performance tuning, and data security.
  • Communication with business stakeholders and transforming requirements into BI solutions.
  • Leading and mentoring less experienced BI developers.
• Advantage:
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouses, Data Pipelines, OneLake, Synapse integration).
  • Knowledge of IBM Cognos (reporting, dashboarding, migration to Power BI).
  • Experience in finance, retail, or pricing domains.
  • Experience with the design and deployment of BI process automation.
  • Active participation in BI ecosystem architecture and optimization.
  • Familiarity with version control tools (GitHub, Azure DevOps).
