Role Description

Start: 01.11.2026

Duration: 31.12.2026, with the possibility of extension

Workload: Full-time

Location: 2–3 days on-site weekly

Language: English and German

Job Description:

  • Development, further development, and maintenance of Python applications in the banking sector
  • Focus on developing new Python applications to replace existing SAS solutions
  • Analysis and implementation of business requirements in collaboration with business stakeholders
  • Development of data processing and integration solutions
  • Creation of unit and integration tests, as well as conducting code reviews
  • Ensuring code quality, maintainability, and performance
  • Participation throughout the entire software lifecycle, from design and testing through to deployment
  • Use of AI-assisted development tools such as Microsoft Copilot, with a focus on quality and traceability
  • Collaboration within an agile and international development team

Qualifications:

  • Professional experience in Python development
  • Solid understanding of software engineering and software architecture
  • Experience with SQL, relational databases, and Linux
  • Experience with Git and automated testing
  • Experience in data processing and integration
  • Analytical and solution-oriented approach to work
  • Experience with Pandas, NumPy, or comparable Python frameworks is an advantage
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Jenkins, or Apache Airflow is an advantage
  • Experience with SAS is an advantage
  • Experience in the banking or financial sector is an advantage
  • Careful and responsible use of AI-assisted development tools
