Role Description

Project Description

  • Design, development, and optimization of advanced statistical and economic models in R and Shiny
  • Architecture design and refactoring of existing modeling solutions with a strong focus on code quality, readability, and maintainability
  • Implementation of interactive modeling applications in Shiny for internal and expert users
  • Design of data structures, database modeling, and SQL query optimization
  • Integration of models with relational databases and management of data flows
  • Deployment and operation of solutions in a cloud environment (AWS or another cloud platform)
  • Collaboration with health economics experts, statisticians, product management, and other engineering teams
  • Ensuring compliance with internal statistical programming standards, output validation, and model documentation
  • Reporting and technical coordination with the Engineering Lead

Project Requirements

Advanced experience with:

  • R (minimum 5 years of commercial experience)
  • Shiny (minimum 5 years of experience developing production applications)
  • Statistical programming and advanced data modeling

Experience with:

  • SQL and query optimization
  • Database design and data modeling
  • Working with relational DBMS

Advanced knowledge of:

  • Cloud environments (AWS or another cloud platform)

Language requirement:

  • English at a level sufficient for daily communication in an international team (minimum B2)
  • Czech

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Python
  • Experience in Health Economics Modeling (HEM), HEOR, or pharmaceutical modeling
  • Experience with advanced financial or statistical modeling in Excel
