Role Description

Location: Vienna (up to 20% onsite) / Minimum 80% remote

Responsibilities
As an HR Business Function Implementation Practitioner, you will support the implementation of HR business function activities in Austria while driving end-to-end performance improvements.
Your responsibilities include:
- Analyzing, designing, and redesigning HR business processes.
- Acting as the subject matter expert for Austrian HR and payroll transformation initiatives.
- Collaborating across multiple teams and taking ownership of key decisions.
- Providing solutions for both team-specific and cross-functional challenges.
- Serving as the internal expert on Austrian payroll legislation, income tax, and social security regulations.
- Optimizing HR business processes using deep expertise in SAP HCM Payroll.
- Leading structured knowledge transfer sessions with client stakeholders.
- Defining and documenting Desktop Procedures (DTPs) to support scalable service delivery.
- Mentoring colleagues on Austrian employment law and payroll regulations.
Important: This is not an operational payroll processing role. Daily payroll administration is not part of the project.
The client is looking for a senior consultant who can:
- Design future-state payroll processes.
- Lead payroll transformation initiatives.
- Build internal capabilities.
- Enable the client's team to independently manage payroll processes after project completion.
