We are looking for a Software Developer to join our team and play a key role in expanding and maintaining our scientific software ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of software engineering and computational chemistry, offering an opportunity to work on tools that directly accelerate drug discovery and molecular design.
What you'll do:
The developer will lead the integration of multiple existing applications with the Schrödinger LiveDesign platform, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability across our scientific toolchain. In parallel, you will contribute to the ongoing development of a workflow engine that applies advanced statistical and cheminformatics methods to identify and propose novel chemical compounds — work with real impact on the compounds that reach the lab.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing integrations between internal applications and the Schrödinger LiveDesign platform
- Developing and maintaining backend services and APIs supporting scientific workflows
- Enhancing the cheminformatics workflow engine with new statistical models and data processing capabilities
- Managing cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable, scalable deployments
- Collaborating with scientists and engineers to translate domain requirements into robust software solutions
