- Collaborate with business SMEs to draft GxP System Use workflows and provide OL:CDS-specific guidance that feeds MRL SOP development.
- Maintain stakeholder alignment, record decisions, and escalate governance issues as needed
- Serve as the primary contact for intake analysis sessions for migration of existing and/or new OpenLAB CDS or OpenLAB Chemstation standalone workstation DSCS groups.
- Elicit use cases, instrument work processes, user access and roles, and data transfer/workflow needs and requirements
- Understand and document GxP vs non‑GxP CDS workflows
- Support large-scale onboarding execution planning (target: onboarding >200 DSCS non-GxP users by 2026 year-end), including training schedules and post‑go-live follow-ups.
- Lead analysis and planning conversations for the OpenLAB CDS ↔ ASM DataStore integration with the ADE team.
- Document integration requirements, user groups, project groups, and validation considerations as it relates to OpenLAB CDS
- Explain rationale for OpenLAB CDS configuration choices (metadata fields, custom calculations, standards vs. organization-specific decisions, etc.)
- Review Agilent OpenLAB CDS continuous and quarterly release vendor documentation; conduct impact analysis on DSCS workflows and configurations.
- Recommend adoption steps, configuration changes, and necessary stakeholder communications
- Determine testing needs and develop and execute regression scripts
- Provide tier‑1 triage, escalate technical items appropriately, and collect recurring issues for training/content updates (~500 userbase and ~500 instruments)
- Create or update self‑help resources, FAQs, and training artifacts to reduce repeat queries.
- Maintain and update the Digital SDLC documentation for OpenLAB CDS-related development and configuration activities, ensuring alignment with organizational SDLC policies and GxP requirements.
- Ensure design decisions, metadata standards, and configuration rationales are captured in the SDLC records to support audits and future change requests.
Required skills/experience:
- 5+ years experience supporting instrument software platforms (3+ of which are chromatographic software based) – direct OpenLAB CDS experience is preferred
- Strong understanding of laboratory workflows and scientific data management in the pharmaceutical R&D space
- Experience with GxP/regulatory considerations relevant to systems supporting lab data (e.g., knowledge of controlled access, audit trails, validated processes).
- Proven experience running onboarding intake sessions, eliciting requirements, developing system configuration requirements
- Experience developing User Acceptance Testing test cases and supporting testers through UAT
- Hands-on experience working with integration projects (requirements gathering, data mapping, stakeholder coordination).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills — able to explain technical configuration decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong organizational skills and experience managing support channels and prioritizing requests across a large user base.
- Proven success producing user documentation and training materials, conducting 1:1 and group training sessions
- Previous experience using JIRA, Xray/Vera, and ServiceNow are a plus.
