We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with a strong background in Data Engineering to support a critical data initiative. This role involves working closely with data owners and engineering teams to understand, document, and model data across multiple layers of an enterprise data platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and interpret data from the L1 (raw/source) data layer
• Collaborate with data owners and engineering teams to understand data semantics and structures
• Map L1 data to other layers (e.g., curated, analytics, reporting) to support the development of an integrated data model
• Provide actionable insights and clear specifications to the data engineering team for model development
• Create detailed business and technical documentation including data mapping and transformation rules
• Ensure alignment with SDLC standards and best practices throughout the data lifecycle

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with strong exposure to data engineering concepts
• Understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling
• Experience working on large-scale data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP is a plus)
• Proficiency in SQL and data profiling tools
• Strong stakeholder communication and documentation skills
• Familiarity with Agile methodology and SDLC processes
