Project description

• The project is rewriting an older application from Java 5 to a modern Microservices stack
• Development and maintenance of microservices in Kotlin on Spring Boot
• Optimization of PostgreSQL database usage
• Creation of integration tests and automation of deployment in CI/CD pipeline
• Collaboration with DevOps on monitoring in Azure and continuous performance improvement
• Close cooperation with the Product Owner, QA and other teams on delivering end-to-end solutions
• Contributing to architectural decisions and sharing knowledge in the team
• Collaboration takes place hybridly in a ratio of 1 day a week onsite in Prague

Project requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in backend development
• Minimum 5 years of commercial experience with Kotlin
• Active collaboration in an agile team and the ability to take responsibility
• Analytical thinking and independent problem solving
• Knowledge:
  • Senior knowledge of Spring Boot and Micro-services principles
  • Expert orientation in SQL and JPA/Hibernate
  • Practical knowledge of cloud-native environment (GCP or Azure)
  • Active knowledge of English at B2 level and above
• Advantage:
  • Knowledge of frontend technologies (React)
  • Experience with the design and implementation of Apache Kafka
