The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Manual QA Engineer to champion quality for a high-profile Football Mobile Fan Engagement Platform. You will be the guardian of the fan experience, ensuring our mobile application and data platform are stable, intuitive, and perform flawlessly on game day. This is a critical role where you will not only execute tests but also shape our quality assurance processes, mentor others, and collaborate closely with a cross-functional team to deliver a world-class digital product.
About the Project
The Football Mobile Fan Engagement Platform is a multi-layered digital initiative designed to create a unified, real-time fan experience both inside the stadium and globally. This platform combines a native mobile application with a sophisticated data ingestion and analytics pipeline to deliver personalised content, streamline game-day operations, and foster a deeper connection between the team and its global fanbase.
We are solving the challenge of moving from fragmented, traditional media to an immersive, data-driven digital ecosystem. By unifying news, videos, stats, mobile ticketing, and in-stadium features into a single mobile app, we aim to eliminate fan friction and use real-time data to enhance everything from stadium entry to concession wait times.
What You'll Do:
Design and Execute Test Strategies: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, end-to-end scenarios, and detailed test cases to ensure the highest quality for our mobile (iOS/Android) and web platforms.
Champion Quality: Act as a vocal advocate for quality within your Agile (Scrum) team. Proactively identify, isolate, and meticulously document defects, and drive them to resolution.
Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, and Developers to understand requirements, provide accurate testing estimates, and clearly communicate test results, risks, and issues.
Improve QA Processes: Take ownership of the quality process. Document testing methodologies and best practices, and work with other QAs to create scalable, repeatable processes for future projects.
Act as a Consultant: Go beyond testing. Propose innovative solutions, challenge assumptions, and effectively explain technical concepts and the reasoning for quality-driven changes to non-technical stakeholders.
Mentor and Guide: Provide guidance to other team members and help foster a culture of quality and shared responsibility across the entire product development lifecycle.
