React/Typescript Developer
Requirements
- Primary hard skills — strong commercial React with TypeScript; complex client-side state; real performance work on large DOM trees (virtualisation, memoisation, profiling with numbers); document- or data-dense rendering — PDF, canvas/SVG overlays, document-model rendering; working inside an existing design system; component and end-to-end testing; Git, CI/CD
- Secondary hard skills — web workers, streaming and incremental loading; UX of long-running jobs; accessibility; front-end observability; AWS-hosted static delivery
- Soft skills — reasons from measurements and says when something has not been measured; explains trade-offs to regulatory and quality stakeholders; comfortable being the only person on the front end, including where UX coverage is thin; careful by temperament
- Experience — 5+ years commercial front-end, 3+ with React; at least one interface where correctness and performance were verifiable and mattered; extends someone else's production code rather than rewriting it
- English — B2 or above, spoken
- Nice to have — diff, merge or document-review interfaces; PDF or OOXML document models; regulated domain background; enough Python to read the backend you integrate with
