Senior Data Engineer
About
We are seeking a skilled Sr. Data Engineer with strong analytical and engineering skills to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines that populate our data lake and data warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and Databricks to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
- Develop data transformation rules and data models to support analytics and reporting.
- Implement data quality checks, maintain data catalogues, and use orchestration, logging, and monitoring tools.
- Collaborate with Product Analysts, Data Scientists, and ML Engineers to make data accessible and understandable.
- Use test-driven development practices and Git-based version control with branching strategies.
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python, with hands-on ETL experience on Databricks.
- Solid experience with AWS cloud services.
- Strong database experience and SQL proficiency.
- Experience with Spark/PySpark (2-3 years), Git, Docker, and CI/CD tools.
- Good communication and SDLC documentation skills.
